1. Boxrott
First on our list of Rottweiler mixes is the Boxrott which is a product of crossing a Boxer and Rottweiler. A large dog that inherited Rottie’s powerful and muscular build, a fully grown Boxrott can weigh up to 80 pounds. The mutt is quite popular with its combination of Rottweiler’s loyalty and Boxer’s high energy level. Prospective pet parents who are on the lookout for a couch potato should stay well away from the Boxrott.
A short-coated dog with a low shedding level, the pooch is low maintenance and may just need occasional brushing weekly to get rid of dead hairs. The Boxrott is a healthy dog, but it can be susceptible to overweight due to its massive size. Thus, you need to watch your canine friend’s diet to avoid all the health issues associated with obesity.
2. Rottgi
The Rottgi comes third on our list of Rottweiler mixes and it is an adorable mix of the Corgi and the Rottweiler. Both parents of the Rottgi are among the most popular dog breeds and it does not come as a surprise that breeders deemed it necessary to mix the two gene pools. Depending on which gene pool is dominant, the Rottgi can be excessively large, weighing as much as 135 pounds while standing 27 inches tall.
Even though short-coated, the Rottgi sheds continually which calls for regular grooming. Brushing the coat two or three times a week will have your pooch in tiptop condition. The pup’s coat color can vary, appearing in black, fan, tan, red, and sable. Life expectancy for this breed is 12 years and it is considered genetically healthy.
3. Rottsky
A Rottweiler and Siberian Husky mix, the Rottsky is a noble dog, it is active, athletic, and exercise-driven, which are all inherited from both parents. The pooch is on the big side, standing 25 inches at shoulder level with a bodyweight that can go u to 75 pounds. Thus, people who wish to keep the hound as a family pet must live in a home with plenty of space and the backyard also needs to be large.
The breed is very healthy with a life span that can go up to 13 years, but since the parents are prone to glaucoma, hip dysplasia, and cataracts, pet owners should watch out for these conditions in their Rottsky.
4. Rottoodle
Rottweiler and Poodle breed mix is what gave rise to the charming designer pup called Rottoodle. They are among the Rottweiler mixes with the longest life span, living up to 15 years. The pooch is powerful and energetic and if you want your dog to behave well around kids and other pets, then early training and socialization is the way. The exercise needs of this breed are very high, meaning that it must be reared as an outdoor dog and the owner must be experienced.
Depending on the size of the Poodle (standard, miniature, and medium) that went into the mix, the size of your Rottoodle can vary. If a standard Poodle was used, there are chances that the offspring will grow into a very large dog – 120 pounds in weight and 25 inches at the shoulder. Though considered healthy, the Rottoodle is prone to Von Willebrand and degenerative myelopathy disease.
5. Rotthuahua
Mixing the gene pool of a Rottweiler with a Chihuahua resulted in the Rotthuahua which is considered to be a rare breed. The Chihuahua is one of the longest living dog breeds with up to 18 years of age and teaming up with the Rottweiler with its average lifespan produced an offspring that can survive up to 14 to 15 years. The size of the Rotthuahua cannot be predicted as it all depends on the gene pool that eventually dominates.
If it’s the Chihuahua, then, expect your pooch to be very small and cute. On the flip side, if the Rottweiler’s gene is dominant, your Rotthuahua can go up to 90 pounds in body weight and 22 inches tall at the shoulder level. Whichever may be the case, the breed is an odd mix and is very rare.
6. Labrottie
The Labrottie is among the Rottweiler mixes realized from crossing the Rottweiler & Labrador. Both parents of the Labrottie are working dogs, thus, the breed has a high energy level that must be satisfied with plenty of exercises. The dog is intelligent, smart, as well as quick to learn; this calls for early socialization and training to prevent the mutt from a situation where it becomes overly independent and tries to take charge of your household. Though the Lab parent is quite friendly and affectionate, the Labrottie views strangers with distrust and may be intolerant of small children. 8. Golden Rottie
Crossing the Golden Retriever and Rottweiler resulted in the Golden Rottie. The Golden and the Rottie being among the most popular breeds in America, this cross is expected to happen and the mix gave rise to a playful, loving, intelligent, but cautious breed. The Golden Rottie comes with the Rottweiler’s color most of the time but retains the Golden Retriever’s body. You usually get a cute mutt sporting a long black coat that is likely to shed heavily.

9. New Rottland
The Newfoundland and Rottweiler mix is called the New Rottland and coming from two large parents, the dog can be quite massive in size, growing up to 28 to 30 inches at shoulder level. Since both parents are loving and gentle, the New Rottland is considered to be a gentle giant, little wonder it can withstand rowdy kids and their rough play. This big and durable pooch is a perfect family dog as it is loyal to a fault.
10. Weimarrott
Among the known Rottweiler mixes is the Weimarrott, bred from crossing the Rottweiler and Weimaraner – both among Germany’s finest working canine breeds. This cross gave rise to what can be best described as an ideal balance of physical prowess with both strength and speed. Weimaraners are nicknamed “gray ghosts”, thanks to their gray coats but we have seen several that come in different colors from tan to solid black or brown.
The breed may inherit the blue eyes of the Weimaraner. Even with the Rottweiler being a highly energetic dog, the Weimaraner brought more energy into the Weimarrott, thus, the dog can only thrive with active and experienced owners who have enough time for exercise.
