Historically, greyhounds started off as hunting dogs primarily used by the British elite to hunt deers and other animals like hares and foxes. They were used for hunting mainly because of their incredible speed, which is recorded to be up to 45 miles an hour. The public’s fury was ignited when Jenner was spotted on a stroll with Pyro and a prong collar around his neck. The prong collar is illegal in Australia and has long been the subject of numerous petitions aimed at following Australia’s lead and making the leash illegal in America.
Kendall’s use of the prong collar, which is essentially used to train errant dogs and restrain/regulate their movements, effectively divided public opinion with some literally calling her a dog sadist along with other unsavory comments which also claim that she was causing pain to the dog in order to get a cool picture for her Instagram page.
